This vacancy is for the full-time position of a Communications and Research Executive (CRE) at the Singapore Embassy in Seoul, which is accredited to both the Republic of Korea and Mongolia.
 
Job Description
 
The CRE is part of the political team, which supports the Embassy’s broader research, analysis, and media monitoring efforts. The primary responsibilities of the CRE include the following: 
 
Conducting research on and monitoring media reports/social media posts on domestic and foreign policy developments in the ROK, key personalities and trending topics of interest related to Singapore/ASEAN, the ROK and Mongolia, and Singapore’s bilateral relations with ROK and Mongolia.
 
Draft and prepare content for the Embassy’s social media and events, which can involve graphic design, photography, and videography work. 
 
Support the Embassy’s public diplomacy and community building efforts, which can include translation of news articles and social media posts. 
 
Facilitate media interviews, manage media reports, and queries.  
 
Facilitate visiting delegations from Singapore when necessary, and/or to help organise/attend events and receptions in relation to the above responsibilities, and 
 
Other additional tasks may be assigned from time to time when the need arises.

Requirements
 
The Candidate should possess: 
 
Good speaking/writing proficiency in the Korean and English language, including translation and interpretation skills. 
 
Familiarity with domestic and foreign political developments, as well as the media environment, including social media such as Facebook, Instagram and others. 
 
Proficiency in graphic design, photography/videography (in relevant programmes such as Adobe Photoshop, Canva, and/or other video editing software will be an advantage).
 
The ability to work well as part of a bigger team and good interpersonal/communication skills. 
 
Qualities such as being meticulous, organised, responsible and the ability to multi-task.
 
Availability
 
The Candidate should be prepared to start work as soon as possible, preferably before early-October 2024.
