The Partner Technical Specialist (PTS) is a technical sales expert who plays a key role within the IBM Partner Ecosystem, collaborating closely with IBM business partners to build trusted relationships and drive success through IBM technology.

 Using IBM’s cutting-edge technology, you will help shape partners’ technical strategies, integrate IBM solutions into their architectures and operations, and lead successful co-selling and co-engineering efforts.

Key Responsibilities

 * Align IBM technology with partners’ technical strategies and support solution development
 * Design and implement joint solutions leveraging IBM technology
 * Work closely with IBM’s internal technical experts to deliver the best customer and partner-centric solutions
 * Enhance partners’ technical capabilities to scale IBM-powered solutions in the market
 * Create co-selling opportunities and facilitate Proof of Technology (PoT) engagements between IBM and partners

Detailed Responsibilities

 - Build & Service
 * Understand partners’ solution value and collaborate with IBM to develop differentiated joint solutions
 * Enable partners to effectively design and deploy solutions leveraging IBM technology

 - Sell
 * Support partners in identifying business opportunities and expanding their sales pipeline with IBM technology
 * Empower partners to propose IBM technology-driven solutions to customers and achieve successful sales outcomes

* Strong understanding of AI technologies and practical experience applying them in real-world scenarios (experience with IBM AI technologies is a plus, but not mandatory)
 * Knowledge of modern technologies such as Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Docker, Cloud Foundry, and infrastructure
 * Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and familiarity with AI/ML use cases
 * Experience in solution co-creation with partners and ability to guide technical strategies
 * Proven track record of leading joint Proof of Concept (PoC) and Proof of Technology (PoT) initiatives
 * Ability to lead technical enablement and training sessions for partner teams
 * Capability to support partners’ digital transformation by leveraging AI and industry expertise
 * Strong collaboration and communication skills to build differentiated value with partners
