DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANIZATION
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international independent medical humanitarian organization founded in 1971. It provides medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, and exclusion from healthcare, operating approximately 520 projects worldwide.
MSF Korea, established in 2012 and based in Seoul, focuses on four key pillars:
- Fundraising to support MSF’s medical humanitarian activities.
- Recruiting skilled Korean medical and non-medical staff for field missions.
- Communicating global humanitarian crises to the Korean public.
- Engaging with Korean stakeholders and policymakers to support international humanitarian efforts.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Under the supervision of Philanthropy Manager, the Philanthropy Specialist contributes to growth and further development of partnerships and stewardship programs in corporate sectors by providing strategy, sourcing, and onboarding high-quality prospects and supporting implementation of stewardship and cultivation for existing major corporate donors.
- Assist the research and identification of the partnership opportunities to achieve the income target, as well as eventually to support MSF’s activities
- Develop and implement tailored proposal to attract and engage with new partners
- Manage the stewardship program for major corporate donors and report on the impact resulting from the donation for MSF’s activities, as well as create and lead new events to engage corporate employees
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Communication, Data, and philanthropy teams to activate fundraising
- Monitor trends and development in the philanthropy sector to identify new opportunities and develop cultivation programs
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Research and identify partnership opportunity
- Conduct comprehensive research on potential partnerships interested in supporting MSFK’s mission and programs based in Korea to find out the possibility
- Analyze and assess prospective sponsorship based on their alignment with MSF’s strategic goals, values, and funding priorities
- Reach out to potential corporations through meetings and events to build interest and secure partnerships
2. Implement corporate engagement strategies
- Implement tailored action plans for engaging with new and existing corporate partners to maintain long-term relationships and financial support
- Develop the proposals, partnership packages, and engagement events that optimize the value for both the donors and MSFK
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with the primary point in partners, ensuring consistent and positive communication to foster trust and engagement
3. Corporate donor stewardship and reporting
- Manage stewardship programs to ensure that corporate donors feel valued and appreciated for their support in a timely
- Regularly provide impact reports to major corporate donors, highlighting the outcomes of their contributions and the direct impact on MSF’s medical missions
- Produce promotional items such as videos, leaflets, and merchandise required by the team
- Promote engagement tools such as the Missing-map events to develop new corporations and to activate the relationship with existing corporate groups, as well as organize and execute the Missing-map event
4. Collaborative work with the Data and Communications Team
- Support in extracting the donor data with the Data team for the cultivation and reactivation campaign
- Work alongside the communications team to develop marketing materials that highlight the work of corporate partners and showcase their impact on MSF’s operations
- Create the relevant promotional content of the Corporate Partnership team

- 임직원 자원봉사 프로그램 Missing maps(미씽맵) 운영을 위한 글로벌팀 커뮤니케이션 및 진행 및 운영
4. 기타
- 데이터팀과 협업하여 기부자 pool 분석에 기반한 캠페인 기획 (cultivation 및 reactivation 등)
- 커뮤니케이션팀과의 협업을 통한 기업 기부 사례 중심의 콘텐츠 생산
- 기업 파트너십 관련 홍보 콘텐츠 기획 및 제작
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate partnerships, fundraising, or business development, preferably in the non-profit sector
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, foundations, and key stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in MS Office and other database tools
- Fluent both in Korean and English

- MS Office 활용 능력 우수
- 한국어 및 영어 업무 수행 가능자 (말하기/쓰기)
