The Shipment Assistant is responsible for coordinating and facilitating importation and exportation of household and personal effects (HHE), privately owned vehicles (POV), unaccompanied baggage (UAB), and U.S. Government equipment and supplies for the Department of State and other agencies. Assist airport and other logistics for VIP visitors to Korea, in coordination with control officers and visit support team.  Perform other duties as needed.

Experience: 
Minimum four years of experience in the field of international trade/transportation, shipping, logistics, or customs clearance is required.

Language: “This may be tested” 

Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing English and Korean is required.  Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an English language testing unless an official English language test scores (TOEIC scores of at least 945/ TOEFL scores of at least 95) are submitted with application.

Job Knowledge:
Thorough knowledge of administrative management procedures, and maintenance, correspondence procedures, etc.  Good understanding and knowledge of host country’s import/export polices, including tax policies. 

Skills And Abilities: 
Ability to draft various official documents and reports in English is required. Ability to function independently daily for routine duties. Must possess a valid Korean Driver’s License (Class 2, Regular).  Incidental operators must have had a driver’s license for a minimum of five years. Compiling data for reports, and drafting written communications among Posts, agencies at Post, and the Department. 

Licenses: 
Must have a valid, current license (level 2, Regular).  Must have had a valid driver’s license for a minimum of five (5) years.

Education Requirements:
Secondary school education is required.
