Job opportunity: Full-time position as ASSISTANT TO THE FLEMISH ECONOMIC REPRESENTATIVE at the commercial section of the Embassy of Belgium in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
 
 Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) is the trade and investment promotion agency of the Region of Flanders (Belgium), based at the Embassy of Belgium in Seoul. The main tasks of Flanders Investment & Trade are to support Flemish companies exporting to the Republic of Korea, as well as Korean-based companies seeking to invest in Flanders, Belgium.
 
 Job Description
 
Flanders   Investment and Trade is looking for a qualified, reliable and proactive colleague (M/F) to join the dynamic team at the office in Seoul, to fill in the full-time position of “Assistant to the Flemish Economic Representative”.
 
Main Tasks
 
• Answering questions from Flemish or local companies
• Actively gathering market information that may be useful for Flemish companies
• Preparing individual prospecting trips and business delegations
• Support in drafting a policy and budget plan
• Drafting market and sector studies
• Participating in trade fairs and events with potential partners
• Coordinating activities with internal and external partners
• Managing CRM databases and following up on existing (commercial) contacts
• Supporting the office accounting and administration
• Translation work
• Reporting to the Head of Post
• Administrative tasks: reception and telephone, maintaining the agenda, archiving, sending mail, …
 

What We Offer
 

• Contract period: permanent contract with a 6 month probation period.
• Gross salary: will be decided by the candidate’s years of seniority and qualifications starting from 4,149,109 KRW/month

Profile Requirements
 

• Minimum diploma: a Bachelor's degree closely related to the main tasks of the position.
• Relevant work experience in an international context is a plus.
• Language skills: fluency in Korean and English is a must; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
• Knowledge of the local economy and business environment.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft applications (MS Office, CRM Dynamics,...) and social media applications.
