This position is assigned in the Reward, HR & Health Services Division (BPRS) within the Budget, People and Management Systems Department (BPMSD). BPMSD provides operational support to ADB on areas of position management, recruitment and selection, HR business partnering, HR operations administration including HR systems and analytics, reward management, talent management, learning and development, and ADB budget management. BPRS is responsible for designing and managing ADB’s reward policies, administration of all HR services relating to onboarding, off-boarding, field office assignments and other service support; implementation of policies relating to compensation and staff benefits, medical insurance plans and staff health and wellness programs.

Job Purpose
The Principal Reward Specialist leads the design and communication of effective reward policies and programs for international and local staff in Headquarters (HQ) and in the field offices (FOs). The incumbent provides a balanced and market-competitive total reward package to help attract, motivate and retain talented staff, in a cost-effective way, and contribute effectively to broader HR and business initiatives on reward-related aspects.
The Principal Reward Specialist reports to Director, BPRS and supervises National and Administrative Staff.

The selected candidate, if new to ADB, is appointed for an initial term of 3 years.
