Role Summary
Since 1972, Amnesty International Korea(AIK) has been working to make a world where human rights is enjoyed by all with our members. We are looking for a section director who will use their expertise in supporting the global movement to protect human rights.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for Amnesty International Korea(AIK).
- Oversee the overall management and operations of AIK
- Ensure financial sustainability and legal compliance as the chief executive officer.
- Report to the Board of Directors and engage with Amnesty International’s global governance structures.
- Serve as the official spokesperson for AIK.
Requirements
Section Director, Amnesty International Korea
- Professional Competences
- Knowledge on human rights and civil society
- Knowledge on domestic and foreign political, economic and social trends
- Understanding of Amnesty International’s core mission and vision, governance structure and campaign
- Expertise on strategy establishment and operation, strategic leadership and management
- Experience of strategic communications regarding human rights advocacy, campaign, media relations and fundraising
- Strategic & Analytical Thinking
- Skills of problem solving and management
- Skills of allocating work resource and priority setting
- Organizational and Financial Management Skills
- Experience of organizational management
- Skills on annual and monthly plan and evaluation
- Experience on fundraising and finance
- Communication Skills
- Interpersonal skills of respecting other opinions
- Experience of managing different types of stakeholders
- Experience of writing policy documents and reports
- Fluent business writing, conversation skills in Korean and English
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years in a senior management position.

Terms of Employment
- Working hours: 5 days a week, 40 hours
- Termination: 4 years
- Office: Jongno-gu, Seoul
- Salary: Negotiable

- Flexible working hours (start between 8–10 AM)
