The Green Climate Fund is the world’s largest dedicated multilateral climate fund and invests in impactful, innovative, catalytic programs and projects in developing countries across the globe As we celebrate 10 years of climate action, our portfolio has grown to over USD 20.3 billion across more than 354 projects in over 130 countries[G[1] —demonstrating the transformative power of strategic climate finance at scale. In 2023, an additional USD 12.8 billion was pledged, to support our new strategic and programming cycle from 2024-2027; our ambition is to grow to become at least a USD 50 billion fund by 2030. Position Objective
The Artificial Intelligence Solutions Specialist serves as a key technical resource within the Fund’s AI Center of Excellence, supporting AI governance and hands-on solution delivery to help advance the Fund's operational efficiency and AI maturity.
The role provides oversight in the operationalization of AI governance frameworks, translating policies into protocols, compliance monitoring processes, and risk assessment practices for deployed AI systems. In parallel, the Specialist also contributes to the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered solutions and enterprise AI tools that automate workflows and enhance decision-support capabilities across business units.
Under the guidance of the AI Software Development Specialist, the role supports requirements gathering from process owners, assists in architecting solutions on cloud-based AI platforms, coordinates delivery with external development resources, and contributes to vendor and third-party risk assessments. The role also supports staff capacity building through training materials, technical documentation, and by engaging with stakeholders to promote responsible AI adoption in alignment with organizational governance standards and the Fund's climate finance mission.
