Study in Sweden Project Manager/Education Promotion Officer

The Embassy of Sweden’s main responsibility is to promote, broaden and deepen the excellent bilateral relations between Sweden and the Republic of Korea in a wide range of areas. The Embassy is running a project to attract Korean talent for study or research at Swedish Universities. The project is organised in the embassy’s Office for Science and Innovation (OSI). The OSI work to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Sweden and Korea in the areas of innovation, research, and higher education.

The Embassy is hiring a positive, active, and well-organized person who will work closely with the Innovation and Science Counsellor and the rest of the Embassy staff to manage the Study in Sweden Project (https://www.studyinsweden.kr). The position is for 15 months during a parental leave and the starting date is 6 September 2021 and ending date is 9 December 2022.

Main responsibilities:
• Promote Sweden as a study destination for Korean students, primarily for master-level studies but also for other levels, in Swedish higher education institutions.
• Organise and participate in seminars, fairs and other outreach activities targeting students, when possible in collaboration with colleagues from Swedish Universities.
• Marketing the Swedish Universities in Korea through social media, blogs, and digital marketing.
• Manage key Embassy contacts in Sweden and in Korea to ensure a successful sustainability and success of the Project.
• Respond to enquiries and support Korean students seeking information about studies in Sweden.

Requirements:
• Relevant university degree and excellent command of spoken and written English and Korean.
• Documented experience of working on digital marketing and project management.
• Experience of preparing, implementing, and following up events and different types of marketing strategies.
• International experience, preferably in the form of studies abroad or employment by a foreign company or organization.
• Preferably three to five years of relevant work experience.
• Flexible and collaborative attitude and like the idea of working in a relatively non-hierarchical, informal organization where it is results that count.
• Good ability to take initiative, manage time, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

Experience from Embassy work or knowledge about Sweden will be considered as advantages.

At the Embassy of Sweden, we welcome diversity and have a non-hierarchical organisation. Normal working hours are 9.00-17.30 with 28 days of annual holiday.
