Term Details: This position is a Locally Engaged Staff position, subject to the Terms and Conditions of Employment for LES in South Korea. This process will be used to create a list of eligible candidates for similar positions either indeterminate, term or emergency.

Summary of Duties:

  1. Supporting the planning, coordination and arrangement of office and staff quarter accommodations, providing solutions to business requirements to a diverse client base; 
  2. Planning and administering activities related to interior decoration of staff quarters and the supply and maintenance of required furnishings, equipment and appliances; 
  3. Conducting inventory planning and management; 
  4. Establishing and maintaining a network of contacts with local governments, service providers, suppliers, organizations and agencies to liaise on issues related to property service delivery; 
  5. Initiating and supervising repairs and installations at the staff quarters in Seoul; 
  6. Responsible for managing the section budget; and, strategic and financial planning; 
  7. Supervising 4 employees, 1 assistant and 3 drivers; and, 
  8. Completing other administrative duties. 

Job Requirements

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, language* and experience.
Candidates must clearly demonstrate when applying to the position how they meet each of these essential qualifications.
*Language will be assessed further during the process. 

Education:
Candidates will be required to provide proof of the completion of their education.

  1. Successful completion of Bachelor's degree or undergraduate diploma OR An acceptable combination of education, training, and work experiences 


Language:

  1. An advanced proficiency level (reading, writing, comprehension and speaking) in English and Korean. 


Experience:
This position requires the following experience acquired in the past 7 years: 

  1. A minimum of 3 years of work experience managing employees. 
  2. A minimum of 5 years of work experience providing client services.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of work experience in managing projects, or procurement, or finance, or property/real estate. 



RATED REQUIREMENTS
The Rated Requirements are part of the essential qualifications and are relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies. Methods of assessment for rated requirements may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview (online pre-recorded/live or in-person), role-play, practical tests, presentations and/or psychometric assessment.

Knowledge:

  1. Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft SharePoint, Web-based search engines, computer equipment. 
  2. Knowledge of the principles of budget management

Asset Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who meet the Asset Qualifications. Where applicable, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet any asset qualifications.

  1. Fluency in written and spoken French; 
  2. Experience in a diplomatic mission or in a multilateral organization; 
  3. Experience in residence lease contract management and negotiation   


Operational Requirements:

  1. Be able to stand for 60 minutes, bend, kneel and lift up to 20 kg. 
  2. Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required. 
  3. Willingness and ability to work at the office or from home as required. 
  4. Willingness and ability to work occasional overtime outside normal working hours (e.g. early mornings, evenings and weekends) and potentially on short notice. 

 
Conditions of Employment:
Conditions of employment must be met or complied with before being appointed to a particular position, and are to be maintained throughout the employment while being the incumbent of this position.
Valid work authorization: Ability to obtain and hold a valid work authorization covering the entire employment period.
Security screening: Obtain and maintain a Reliability Status (security level) which includes a criminal and credit background check from the Government of Canada covering the entire employment period.
