Duties

 

The Shipment Assistant is responsible for coordinating and facilitating importation and exportation of household and personal effects (HHE), privately owned vehicles (POV), unaccompanied baggage (UAB), and U.S. Government equipment and supplies for the Department of State and other agencies. Assist airport and other logistics for VIP visitors to Korea, in coordination with control officers and visit support team.  Performs other duties as needed.  

 

 

 

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: Minimum four (4) years of experience in the field of international trade/transportation, shipping, logistics, customs clearance is required

 

 

Education Requirements:

Secondary school education is required.

LANGUAGE: Level IV (Fluent) Speaking/Reading/Writing English and Korean is required.  Shortlisted applicants will be invited to take an English language test unless official English language test scores (TOEIC scores of at least 945/ TOEFL scores of at least 95) are submitted with application.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Korea may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

 

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

 

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
