Security Cooperation Assistant

Job Description

Duties: Responsible for security assistance liaison duties in support of defense development and Foreign Military Sales case management within the Republic of Korea theater. Acts as the principal advisor and project officer for the management of cooperative development activities in support of the U.S. security cooperation mission. Facilitates communication on security cooperation matters between JUSMAG-K (Joint U.S. Military Affairs Group-Korea), the DoD (Department of Defense), and ROK (Republic of Korea) counterparts.
 

Job Requirements

EXPERIENCE: Minimum four (4) years of practical experience in defense affairs, defense acquisition, or military science and/or military technology is required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Bachelor’s degree in International Relations/Affairs, Political Science, Business Administration, Science, Engineering or similar is required.

Failure to list all the required language skills needed for the position will automatically disqualify your application. Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Seoul, Korea may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

 

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

 

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
