Orano - Vice-President/Director Sales & Marketing

ORANO KOREA is currently looking for candidates for the position of Vice-President/Director of Sales & Marketing. (Vice-President or Director depending on professional experience)

 

RESPONSIBILITY AND/OR ACCOUNTABILITY

Geographic scope: South Korea

Business scope: Orano Business units having strategy, projects, actions, … or prospecting Korean market

People Management: one junior employee in charge of sales and marketing support and assistance to contract management

 

Business Development and Commercial Supports

Basically, he/she is in charge to provide all necessary local support to the sales effort, partnerships management, business development and contract management to the business units of Orano involved in the South-Korean market. Particularly, there is a special focus on the Mining, Conversion and Enrichment businesses, including the logistics aspects, as Orano has key business stakes in these segments in South-Korea. Other opportunities may arise in the field of logistics, spent fuel management, nuclear engineering, and Dismantling & Decommissioning businesses.

• Establish, maintain and foster a network of key relations with local customers/partners of the nuclear industry such as KHNP, KAERI, KORAD and KNF.

• Build a strong and consistent image of Orano in the region and provide support for communication programs

• Assistance of developing a commercial strategy as a support of the Business Units

• Assistance of preparing bids and of Off-market sale project

• Coordination with local partners as the support of the Business Units in the management of the existing partnerships. Particularly, coordinating and following on KHNP’s participation to SET Holding, Imouraren Expansion, and other partnership project.

• Provide the relevant information for the elaboration of the Mining, Chemistry and Enrichment business’s strategic planning in Korea.

• Establish, maintain and coordinate contacts with Orano customers, at all levels, headquarters, nuclear facilities, technical and procurement departments.

• Support and assist Orano business units in the development and implementation of their “Strategic Plan”.

• Support Orano business units and participate on its behalf in business development including product and service promotion, collecting information and providing analysis on future projects, customer requirements, customer budgets, customer procurement strategy, competitor products and strategy.

 

Strategy and Marketing

• Externally represent ORANO Group in Korea on daily basis, assist OKL President for his legal representative and business leader’s rules.

• Establish and maintain a network of key relations with local institutions, authorities, associations and with foreign representations such as embassies, Chambers of Commerce or industrial representations.

• Build a strong and consistent image in the region and provide support for communication programs

• Internally provide regional input including market trends and opportunities, competitor watch, regulatory requirements, industrial and political environment.

• Provide the relevant information for the elaboration of the ORANO strategic planning in Korea.

• Provide market analysis and information on future projects customer requirements, customer budgets, customer procurement strategy, competitor products and strategy

 

Support to Contract management

• Coordination on deliveries and services, invoicing and payments as part of contract management

 

Reporting to Business units and Corporate Functions

• Prepare business related reporting such as Country Review and Business Risk Mapping

• Support functional reporting such as self-audit, internal audit, etc.

 

POSITIONING WITHIN ORANO ORGANIZATION

By Orano Carrier Band, the Position is at SM/LP (Senior Manager / Leading Professional), this position is reporting hierarchically and locally to the Orano Asia/Korea president and functionally to the Vice-president of MCE Client

The person on this position is leading and managing a local business team. The team members assist him/her with clear individual responsibilities.

 

TARGETED PROFILE

Education Background and Qualification

· High level education in industrial engineering (engineer degree and above), specialized in nuclear energy if possible

· MBA is a plus

Knowledge and Experience

· Minimum of 15-year experience in industrial companies in the fields of nuclear engineering, nuclear fuel cycle, transport, logistic, etc.

· International exposure in a multinational company, with a significant one in a nuclear company

· Confirmed and successful experience in coordination within matrix organizations, directly or transversally

· Good understanding on local political, social, and economic environment

Skills and Competencies

· Excellent capability on sales, marketing, and business development

· Good communication on both oral and written, and presentation skills

· Drive for result

· Team management skills in an international environment

· Interpersonal skills (listening)

· Language: Korean as mother language, Fluent in English, French is a plus

· Under local (OKL) employment conditions

· Location: OKL premises (Address: KT Gyeongju bldg. 125 Hwarang-ro, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do 38146)
