Social Media Manager (Paris)

The Global Marketing and Communications department is recruiting a Social Media Manager to drive the growth and engagement of our online communities in line with ICC’s strategic priorities.

The Global Marketing and Communications department is recruiting a Social Media Manager to drive the growth and engagement of our online communities in line with ICC’s strategic priorities. The role is a renewable five-month temporary contract (maternity leave replacement).

The role

Responsible for planning and executing campaigns across a range of platforms and accounts, the Social Media Manager oversees content development and delivery. The position is based at ICC Global Headquarters in Paris, France. It sits within ICC’s Global Marketing and Communications department which works to raise the visibility of ICC’s positive impact on people and planet and extend the influence of ICC’s expertise and solutions on global business issues.

Main responsibilities involve administrative tasks including:

  • Producing dynamic and high standard digital content, in English
  • Overseeing content strategy, managing content planning and publication across ICC’s range of social media accounts (including LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram) to optimise engagement and increase following
  • Creating and executing social media plans around major events and campaigns (both internal and external)
  • Conceptualising and creating bespoke visuals and videos
  • Contributing to ICC’s overarching branding mission through consistent implementation of ICC’s editorial and design guidelines
  • Liaising with creative and editorial teams to develop copy and visuals for all ICC digital platforms
  • Extracting key findings from reports and other sources for digital presentation
  • Monitoring and interpreting web and social media analytics
  • Producing regular activity reports and campaign analysis
  • Training staff on social media usage and standard practices. Raising awareness among ICC staff and global network of the benefits and uses of social media
  • Liaising with ICC global offices, representatives and partners on campaign creation and engagement, developing social media toolkits to support key campaigns
  • Keeping pace with latest developments on social media and digital platforms including online behaviours, trends and latest tools
  • Monitoring social media influencers, trends and dialogues to help identify opportunities for interaction on issues relating to priority ICC work areas 
  • Identifying appropriate content for engagement
  • Enforcing ICC’s social media policy and monitoring for breaches

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in social media and communities management
  • Deep understanding of major social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube (including an understanding of algorithms, uses and trends)
  • Solid understanding of SEO and content marketing as well as awareness of emerging social media/digital trends
  • Experience using social media management tools such as Hootsuite
  • Proficiency in social media data analytics and reporting
  • Tech-savvy (Microsoft Office, Photoshop or similar) and experienced using social media for professional purposes, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Flickr
  • Highly organised and self-disciplined with a strategic mindset
  • Ability to provide content recommendations adapted to each platform
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English with good working knowledge of French and third languages a plus
  • Customer-service and results-oriented mindset
  • Video-production, editing and photography experience a plus
