PURPOSE
The HR Senior Associate integrates HR services on resourcing, learning and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, HR information systems, into an effective service platform; to advise and provide HR services to staff and line managers of the assigned business unit(s). The Sr. Associate will also implement and lead on special HR projects based on identified business need.
ENGAGEMENT
- Mentor, train and be point of contact for OED focal points and recruitment coordinators.
- Engage with candidates on behalf of GGGI and ensure consistent candidate experience across all recruitments.
- Work with Hiring managers on recruitments, ensure timely response and efficient service.
- Provide advice, reminders, and follow up on workforce management matters.
- Inform HR team members and payroll of any developments, issues, suggestions, that arise from the interactions with Hiring managers, candidates, and OED focal points.
- Participate and represent GGGI in job fairs or other relevant events and activities when necessary.
- Identify issues impacting the consistent delivery of HR services across a variety of factors and recommend remedial solutions, and improvements to your manager.
DELIVERY
Deliverables are the consistent provision of quality and effective delivery of HR services across a range of functions (e.g. recruitment, learning and development, performance management, grievance management etc.) for the assigned business unit(s):
- Spearhead track and coordinate recruitment processes by liaising with hiring units, and identifying resource needs, timeline, sourcing channels; ensure the best suited candidate is placed within the identified timeframe.
- Coordinate, complete recruitment cycle: screening, longlisting, questionnaire and evaluation criteria development, decision making facilitation, reference check, offer negotiations.
- Systemize onboarding and ensure staff induction and orientation programs for all new joiners in the business units supported, including providing transition support to new recruits.
- Analyze, evaluate, and provide solutions for individual cases, within the framework of defined rules, regulations, practices and/or precedents relating to all aspects of HR.
- Research and summarize facts and precedents related to non-routine cases and recommend solutions.
- In collaboration with HR colleagues report on recruitment status and metrics.
- Contribute to the development of broader HR Policies, guidelines, service offerings, and procedures.
- Contract management, including issuing new contracts, renewals, and making relevant changes in the ERP system.
- Provide HR policy guidance on compensation and benefits, recruitment, and learning & development by utilizing in-depth knowledge of rules, regulations, practices and procedures of the Organization and the practical application of these to specific areas of HRM.
- Implement performance management cycle for the assigned business unit(s).
- Implement talent management initiatives (e.g. individual learning plans) for the assigned business unit(s) as needed.
- Support assigned business unit through the engagement survey and action.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or other relevant fields. Master’s degree would be considered as an advantage.
- Experience: 4-6 years of relevant experience in human resources or related services in an organization with staff of widely diverse backgrounds including cultural backgrounds. Master’s degree with studies in HR or related fields may be considered in lieu of lack of required experience.
- Languages: Proficiency in written and spoken English is a must. Proficiency in Spanish or French would be considered as an advantage.
FUNCTIONAL
- Experience managing high paced, complex recruitments at all levels.
- Expereince using applicant tracking systems. Experience with Hireserve is an added advantage.
- Experienced in implementing a performance management system, preferably in an international context.
- Fluency in MS Excel and other office suites; familiarity with Enterprise Resources Planning, particularly Unit 4 Agresso is a plus.
- High level of client orientation, with proven experience of such in the past.
- Self-starter, able to find solutions to complex issues without the need to escalate further.
- Proven experience in utilizing best practice sourcing techniques and completing full cycle recruitment process.
- Strong analytical skills and deductive reasoning
