[PURPOSE OF THE POSITION]
Main aim is to develop the business strategy for the Philanthropy fundraising, partnership programs in order to increase the level of the income from high value fundraising streams and promote legacy giving. Also, the Sr. Philanthropy Manager is responsible for exploring new philanthropy fundraising opportunities, ensuring the implementation of Annual action plans and managing the team of 4 managers.
· Develop a strategic vision and innovative ideas to grow philanthropy fundraising and guide the team in the implementation of the annual and business plan
· Maximize high value donation from a diversified set of sources and programs with an excellent standard of cultivation and stewardship
· Develop an effective legacy strategy and expand the visibility of MSF legacy programs, increase the pool of inquiries and pledgers
· Lead by example, inspire, motivate an experienced philanthropy team members and foster a work environment based on our core values of humanity, integrity and results.
[MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES]
1. General:
The Sr. Philanthropy Manager will:
· Develop and be accountable for the philanthropy strategy of MSF Korea and meeting global fundraising objectives,
· Expand high value individual donor/corporate portfolio and promote legacy giving,
· Manage the associated budgets and taking corrective actions, when necessary,
2. Main responsibilities
· Lead the philanthropy team and develop philanthropy strategy for building relationship, implement the activities in line with the annual plan of action in accordance with the approved budget,
· Lead, advise, and design the philanthropy activities to maximize the fundraising income from high value individual major donors, corporates, and foundations,
· Lead definition, implementation, and monitoring of KPIs for the team and ensure comprehensive statistics and reports to identify risks, opportunities, and priorities,
· Create and facilitate one to one meetings, presentations, and other meaningful interactions with donors to reinforce our relationship and increase our knowledge about their philanthropic interest and passions,
· Interact with relevant stakeholders in MSF movement as well as field workers, with the aim of bringing donors closer to the organisation in an attempt to show them our missions and work in the fields,
· Ensures precise prospect, cultivation including the middle giver program, and stewardship plans are in place in order to keep the retention of individual major donors, foundations and corporations in the long run,
· Develop new, effective philanthropy engagement programs and partnership strategies, tailored contents to increase income and optimize KPIs,
· Monitors up-to-date philanthropy and partnerships best practices within the MSF movement, and researches the Korean market on fundraising, a high value giving culture, networking, and strategic partnerships opportunities,
· Ensure all external communications and funding proposals relating to philanthropy programs are developed to appropriately reflect the reality of MSF’s operations and in line with the ethics and MSF standards,
· Oversee relationships with all departmental vendors,
3. Team Management
· Lead and manage Philanthropy team and support team members in reaching their objectives and in professional growth,
· Hold regular unit meetings to coordinate, monitor and review yearly performance objectives and development objectives,
· Implement and monitor closely the team budget in accordance with MSF Korea policies and procedures,
[QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS]
1. Essential skills and experience
· Strong Commitment to the values, principles, and MSF’s social mission,
· Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in relationship management, like ESG/CSR management/advocacy, wealth management, communication, PR,
· Experience in designing, managing, and implementing marketing and communication projects
· Excellent relationship management skills- proven writing skills, excellent in oral public presentations,
· Good communicator with strong interpersonal skills -Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation and persuasive skills, Rigorous and good organizational skills, sophisticated communication skills,
· Numeracy skills including experience of financial planning, budgeting, and target setting and presenting detailed financial information,
· A proactive team player with team management experience
· Able to provide guidance and training to team subordinates
· Ability to think strategically as well as tactically
· Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions including the ability to read analysis and interpret professional and technical procedures
· Work under pressure and respect deadlines
· Language: Fluent in English, Korean is an asset
2. Desirable skills and experience
· Experience in NPO
· Experience working internationally
