The operations branch of ICC Dispute Resolution Services (“DRS”) is responsible for providing the framework within which all DRS stakeholders, including the International Court of Arbitration and its Secretariat, perform their work. DRS Operations is composed of several teams providing support services, managing tools & participating in projects which collectively support all DRS and case management activities.  

ICC DRS is hiring a Data Analyst to support the DRS Operations in collecting and studying data, and with upcoming digital projects.  

The role 

• Work with DRS operational support teams tasked with providing data reporting and analytical outputs to evaluate recurrent DRS needs, harmonise data sources, optimise processes, and participate in the redesign of outputs (existing and future tools, reports, presentations, Power BI etc) to create efficiency gains overall  
• Monitor DRS data reporting needs, adapt inputs & processes, and administer outputs & supports (e.g., data monitoring, Power BI etc) to keep reporting and data analysis efficient and relevant  
• Participate in the enhancement of DRS business intelligence and the measuring of business performance (with reference to case management, operational support, Documentation & Research Centre, Office of the Secretary General, DRS marketing & promotion etc)  
• Provide reporting and data analysis related to financial processes  
• Participate in digital transformation projects (offering expertise in relation to DRS business intelligence needs, dashboard design, data entry processes and related case monitoring needs, data analytics, platform KPIs, recurrent DRS statistical outputs impacted by the transformation of DRS digital ecosystem, etc.) 
• Provide internal support throughout digital transformation (including transitions between ICA base, ICC Case Connect, 360X, SAP, Power BI etc), ensuring reporting continuity throughout the digital transformation process 
• Prepare documentation and training materials in support of digital transformation projects, as well as providing internal user support for staff impacted by the digital transformation 
• Perform tasks required in the course of digital transformation projects (meeting participation, document preparation, administrative tasks, reporting, research, staff support, tests, project follow-up and ticketing, etc.) 

Requirements 

• University degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics 
• Relevant professional experience in data analytics and mastery of Power BI  
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets  
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy 
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings 
• Familiarity with varied query languages (SQL, Power Query, Dax etc) and ability to rely on varied data sources (SharePoint, SAP by Design etc) 
• Familiarity with project management principles and demonstrated ability to participate in projects  
• Business acumen, prior experience in arbitration, ADR and/or legal training field considered an advantage   
• Good organisational, interpersonal skills  
• Ability to work on several projects simultaneously 
• Full ability to operate in an autonomous manner and to be proactive 
• Full ability to meet reporting obligations, communicate well as part of a team and adopt a transparent, coordinated approach to tasks and projects 
• Orientation to detail, ability to explain large amounts of information in a simple, organised manner.  
• Perfect fluency in English & French, other languages a plus 

Terms and conditions 

Reports to: DRS Head of Operations  

Start date: January 2023 

Location: based in Paris, France 

Contract type and duration: CDD – 18 months 

Compensation: Competitive, contingent on skills and experience
