[PURPOSE OF THE POSITION]
The Finance & Compliance Coordinator assists the Head of Finance and Compliance (HFC) to ensure that MSF Korea conducts its business in full compliance with all national laws and regulations of NGOs, Public organizations, and the incorporated association.
Under the direct supervision and monitoring of HFC, the position is responsible for preparing all statutory reports, drafting the answers to MOI (Ministry of Inspection and Safety) & MOH (Ministry of Health) in responding to their request, legally formalizing the MSFK General Assembly, administering PIPA/GDPR compliance, and checking changes in legislation and updating it to HFC to make sure proper implementation of such changes in MSF practice.
In addition, the Compliance & Finance Coordinator reviews the expense reports of the MSF Korea staff and executes payments in accordance with the organization’s policy and procedures, including an arrangement with the Treasury and bank accounts reconciliation.
[MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES]
1. Compliance
- Provides support to maintain the filing incorporated association/public organization/NGO as per MOHW guidelines and civil act, and prepares documents and reports required by MoHW,
- Works closely with the Associative focal point for organizing the General Assembly,
- Support HFC for reporting and requirements with relevant internal and external parties,
2. Finance Administration - Account Payable and Treasury
- Reviews AP related reports (expense reports, invoices, payment requests and evidences etc.) following organizational policies and procedures and K-GAAP,
- Executes payment process, bank accounts reconciliation,
- Prepares a report to the Bank of Korea for the netting and cross border payments,
- Updates documentation of payment and treasury related process.
3. PIPA/GDPR and IT
- Assists HFC in reviewing, filing and assessing processes and practices to ensure its process in accordance with PIPA & GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and support to respond to MSF movement wide GDPR monitoring,
- Actively supports updating the internal privacy policy,
- Supports to train employees about the latest regulations and processes of PIPA with arranging privacy trainings (annual, newcomers etc.),
- Administers the One trust privacy management software,
- Oversee and coordinate the delivery of IT support and services for the MSF Korea office under the guidance of HFC,
- Initiate updates of IT equipment records in MSFK’s accounting system.
4. General duties
- Be up to date about any changes to the regulations related to MSFK to support to evaluate potential impact to MSFK operation,
- Administers the database of regulations and guidelines related to the operation of MSFK,
- Keep records of issuance for the certificates of the corporate seals and a copy of MSF Korea’s register.

- Willing to learn various tasks with diverse experiences in finance and compliancece related area
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred in Law, Business Management, Finance or related field), • 0~3 years working Experience (preferred in Compliance of Finance/Accounting related area),
- High ethical standards and problem-solving skills,
- Time management and organization to meet the deadline,
- Basic understanding of Accounting and Finance preferred,
- English Communication (both verbal and in writing),
- Ability to work independently but a team player
2. Desirable skills and experience
