Partnership Officer - Institutional Engagement and Regional Cooperation

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Support AIIB’s engagement with operational partners in AIIB's nonregional Members, including bilateral and multilateral development institutions, in the implementation of AIIB's Corporate Strategy.
• Provide operational support for AIIB’s engagement with global and regional initiatives/platforms in nonregional areas, including Africa and Latin America, to identify and originate cross-border connectivity project opportunities while utilizing available internal and external resources and facilities for project preparation.
• Support AIIB’s cooperation with nonregional knowledge partnerships, including with the MCDF Collaboration Platform, through co-hosting the operation matching events and other workshops related to thematic priorities of AIIB's Corporate Strategy.
• Explore and develop relationships in AIIB’s nonregional Members with upstream and concessional finance providers (such as multilateral special funds, philanthropic foundations, and industry institutions) to create mutually beneficial investment opportunities.
• Conduct any other tasks assigned by their supervisor or Director General.

Requirements

• Minimum eight (8) years of relevant working experience in project operation and strategic partnership in Africa and Latin America and demonstrated understanding of development issues, particularly in AIIB’s nonregional Members.
• At least a Master’s degree in finance, business, economics, international relations, public policy, or related fields from a reputable university.
• Ability to provide practical application of policy, financing, technical and operational knowledge to complete difficult assignments.
• Superior client orientation, and able to work with all levels of staff, management, clients and partners; adept at identifying, coordinating and discussing program/project level issues with the Bank’s various departments and management.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and diplomatic skills, including the ability to work with, and relate to, a wide range of stakeholder-donors, clients, and staff.
• Proven track record of working efficiently, under time pressure and in a multicultural environment.
• Excellent proficiency of professional writing and speaking of English. Proficiency in French, Portuguese or Spanish would be considered an asset.
• Should be comfortable to communicate and work in an international and culturally diverse environment.
• A strong team player with a proactive attitude and able to work independently.
