Young Associate 2023-2025 - Directorate for Employment, Labour and Social Affairs (Job Number: 15947)
Application Closing Date: 20-02-2023, 7:59:00 AM
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an international organisation comprised of 38 member countries, that works to build better policies for better lives. Our mission is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world. Together with governments, policy makers and citizens, we work on establishing evidence-based international standards, and finding solutions to a range of social, economic and environmental challenges. From improving economic performance and creating jobs to fostering strong education and fighting international tax evasion, we provide a unique forum and knowledge hub for data and analysis, exchange of experiences, best-practice sharing, and advice on public policies and international standard-setting. The Directorate for Employment, Labour and Social Affairs (ELS) leads the OECD’s work on employment, social policies, international migration and health. Within ELS, the Skills and Employability division (SAE) covers some key areas of work of the directorate, including Skills and the Future of Work. The division is also responsible for carrying out a range of employment policy reviews, including Mental Health and Disability, Connecting People with Jobs, and Ageing and Pensions.
Role The Skills and Employability division (SAE) is looking for a Young Associate to contribute to the programme of work on how labour markets and job content are changing and what policies are needed to accompany these changes. The Young Associate will be expected to work with more experienced analysts in both the Skills and Future of Work teams to conduct research on ongoing trends, develop surveys and data collection, participate in consultations with policy makers, employers, training providers and the social partners. Depending on the skills and preferences of the Young Associate, they will be exposed to a broad range of projects, work methods and policy areas. For instance, they could be involved in the work on Future-Ready Adult Learning Systems and the work on AI, in the context of the OECD project on Artificial Intelligence in Work, Innovation, Productivity and Skills (AI-WIPS).
