Org. Setting and Reporting
This position is located in the Statistics Service of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). The Associate Programme Officer reports to the Chief of the Analysis Unit.
Education
Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics or related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Job - Specific Qualification
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in project/programme management, administration, technical cooperation or related area is required. Experience contributing to the preparation of communications with donors, including reporting on their funded projects is desirable. Experience supporting the organization of capacity building events in developing countries is desirable.
Languages
Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required; fluency in French is desirable. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.
