Joining us is not just about launching your international career, it is about doing meaningful work for the public good and serving the global community.
About the Innovation Hub:
The BIS Innovation Hub (BISIH) was established in 2019 and has a three-fold mandate to: (I) foster in-depth insights into critical trends in financial technology; (ii) develop applications using new technologies to address problems in the global financial sector that can be shared as public goods with the central banking community and beyond; and (iii) foster a network of central bank experts on innovation. Based in the heart of Europe, the BIS Innovation Hub Strategy and Operations unit coordinates the activities of our regional Hub centres spread around the world, facilitates the work of the worldwide BIS innovation network and analyses trends in international fintech-related industries.

- work with top experts from around the world and be part of an intellectually stimulating organisational culture characterised by effective collaboration, high-quality output and attention to detail.
- enjoy exposure to ideas and projects beyond your immediate speciality and will play a valuable part in supporting the wider central banking community.
Principal accountabilities:
- Prepare research notes that will identify key insights into selected questions related to subject themes that form the basis of the Innovation Hub’s work programme, such as suptech and regtech, next-generation financial market infrastructures, central bank digital currencies, open finance, cyber security, green finance.
- As a particular area of focus of the BISIH relates to the technical and legal design and policy implications of central bank digital currencies, you may be asked to prepare research notes on these issues.
