Digital Program Analyst/Associate – Data Analyst

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a multilateral development bank whose mission is financing the Infrastructure for Tomorrow—infrastructure with sustainability at its core. AIIB is looking for a Data Analyst who will be responsible for gathering and interpreting data requirements using techniques from a range of disciplines, including business analysis, business intelligence, computer programming, mathematics, and statistics. The Data Analyst will draw conclusions from data to describe, predict, and support business needs. The role will require spending a lot of time with data analysis but will also entail communicating with the technical team as well as business counterparties.

Responsibilities:

• Closely work with business stakeholders, understand business data process, gather and streamline data requirement and maintain relevant documentation.
• Perform data analysis, translate data requirements to technical specification; collaborate with the implementation team to support design and deliver solutions that meet business requirements.
• Lead data solution testing and assist in troubleshooting, guide users on the use of new data products and facilitate user training and focus group discussion.
• Team up with the data engineer to assist lines of business with interpreting data and creating reports to meet business needs.
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities, proactively identify new opportunities and potential gaps.
• Research advanced data analytics options and design MVP for innovation pipelines, contribute to pipeline design and deliver POC with cognitive service, NLP, etc.
• Support data culture awareness training and sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, economics, computer science, statistics, or financial engineering or equivalent quantitative experience.
• Minimum 2-5 years of relevant IT experience with at least 2 years of data analyst and/or business analyst experience or relevant experience in business analysis, data analysis, financial analysis, statistics and research methods.
• Experience in successfully designing machine learning and AI applications
• Self-motivated performer with ability to Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Demonstrable experience in managing projects in Agile environments.
• Experience using data in diverse ways to effectively optimize business processes.
• Strong knowledge of MS SQL and familiar with BI; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Microsoft Excel, Python) preferred.
• Ability to write robust code in Python, Java and R.
• Familiar with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn).
• Ability to develop positive and collaborative relationships with business partners and effectively communicate with both business and technology data stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for multiple levels of management.
• Fluency in oral and written English is a must.
• Demonstrated technical documentation skill will be an advantage.
